Project Overview

Boomerang Corp. performed guided auger boring operations for the Iowa DOT I-380 Paving and Grading project in North Liberty, Iowa. The work required the installation of underground utilities beneath active roadway infrastructure with an emphasis on maintaining precise line and grade control.

Following delivery of the Akkerman 240A GBM System, the crew rapidly mobilized and completed an initial pilot tube installation on the first day of operation. Utilizing guided auger boring technology, Boomerang achieved efficient setup and execution while maintaining alignment accuracy in clay ground conditions.
