His son, Maynard Akkerman, carried that vision forward, growing the business while strengthening the values that define who we are.

Maynard’s reflections on Akkerman’s history, purpose, and future remain deeply meaningful to us. That legacy, built over generations, is rooted in hard work, innovation, integrity, and service to the trenchless industry.

Today, we are proud to share an important milestone in Akkerman’s story. As a third-generation, family-owned business, we are pleased to announce Justin Akkerman as our new Chief Executive Officer. Justin steps into this role with deep respect for the foundation laid by his grandfather and father, along with a clear vision for Akkerman’s continued growth, innovation, and service to our customers.

This transition represents both continuity and progress. While leadership moves forward, our commitment to quality, integrity, and the partners we serve remains unchanged. We are confident that under Justin’s leadership, Akkerman will continue to build on its strong heritage and uphold the values that have defined our company for generations.

Bring your project to the spotlight! Akkerman is now accepting high-resolution JPEG photos of projects featuring Akkerman equipment in good repair, captured between November 1, 2025, and today.

Selected projects will be featured in the 2027 Akkerman Calendar and recognized for their contribution to trenchless innovation. If chosen, you’ll receive 10 complimentary copies of the calendar in mid-December.
