Alex Whiteis began his career with Akkerman in 2007 as a technician, bringing with him a strong foundation in hard work and customer service developed early in life while working at his family’s resort in northern Minnesota. From a young age, Alex learned the value of dedication, problem-solving, and taking care of customers—principles that continue to guide his work today.

He earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive Service and achieved his ASE Master Certified Technician credential. Prior to joining Akkerman, Alex owned and operated his own automotive repair shop for four years and later served as a lead technician for a repair and towing company in Austin.

At Akkerman, Alex quickly advanced to a field technician role, supporting and building across all product lines, with deep specialization in MTBM systems. He later became the MTBM product lead and was recognized as the first recipient of the AKKnowledgement Award—highlighting his expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence.

Promoted to Plant Manager in 2020, Alex now leads operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement—ensuring Akkerman’s legacy of excellence continues for generations to come.
